| "We woke up halfway through our week in Paris and it was a chilly October day. I made small a fire in the fireplace and brewed a pot of strong coffee with the charming Italian coffee maker. We sat on the couch and had a lazy morning, the smells of the fireplace and coffee, and the already bustling scene of pedestrians and shops outside, made us feel so comfortable, so natural and relaxed. It was perfect. In the spirit of being on vacation we took down some interesting-looking books from the bookshelf and read for pleasure for a few hours in this wonderful environment while the fire crackled, then my wife took a lavender flavored bath in the large tub before we got dressed and set out to wander through the Marais, soaking in sights and experiences and having an incredibly romantic time. Our stay in Paris was beautiful and the apartment and its location in Marais was amazing. We loved all of the small details of the apartment like the comfortable bath tub, the fireplace, reliable high speed internet, and the great view. The street the apartment is on is perfect because it's in the middle of the Marais but it's just a bit quieter and more pedestrian oriented than the surrounding area, so it is an oasis where people stroll by having conversations, shopping, or trying some of the delicious food from the restaurants nearby, which include an incredible Jewish Boulangerie and two falafel places that are hugely popular with the locals. We were most struck by how wonderful it was to be in an area that was so welcoming, but still very metropolitan, but not at all touristy or cheesy. In writing this I miss it deeply. | "This house was amazing! The architecture and design is so unique. We had so much fun exploring this huge house, and even more fun pretending like it was ours for the week. The chef and cleaning ladies provided constant service throughout the week, and were so nice. They treated us so kindly even though we don't speak any French! The kids loved the pool, and it was always warm. The dinning room was perfect for our nightly card games and 'dinner parties.' The entertainment room was great for all of us. This is where the whole family would meet to plan our days. This large room is also where the kids gathered at night. Fortunately it is on the opposite side of the house from the bedrooms so their noise didn't bother us. I am so glad that we chose to have our family reunion here. First of all, thank you for all of your hard work on convincing the owners to accommodate our budget. We really appreciate how you worked with us. The apartment was completely undersold! lol You guys need to gussy up your webpage on this one, because it is much nicer in person. Did you forget to mention it had an elevator, because we were pleasantly surprised to see one in our building. All in all, Paris was gorgeous, exciting, fun, etc. etc. We had an amazing 7 days and I will love to come back. hello rhianna, I am very happy about my stay in paris. i have found a new way of experiencing paris, not in hotels but in a real homey environment. it is not only cheaper but you also get more room and the comfort of your own home. St Gervais is a gorgeous apartment! it has everything you need: a beautiful bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, wireless internet, TV, washer/dryer and a view to die for right in the center of the best neighborhood in paris! a real gem. there were a few hiccups though. on the 3rd day of our stay at st gervais we stopped having hot water. at the same time it got a lot colder in paris as well and the heat was not working. i got stuck under a cold shower in the morning and had to run to my friend's hotel to shower and get the soap out of my hair! we expressed our concern w Laurent and Ludovic who came round to check on the boiler. he could not fix the problem himself so he started looking for a plumber. at the end of the day, around 8 pm he told me a specialist would come in the morning. at around 5.30 AM that night (next morning) the boiler all of a sudden started making a HORRIBLE, LOUD AND SCARY noise. we both woke up and called the emergency number to send police or firemen. the person on the other line listened to my description of the situation and decided, after speaking to the fire station that they would NOT send anyone! "because there is no smell, just a sound"....!!!! we were both petrified - i mean this is a gas boiler, freaking out, and making the craziest noise that would keep us up all night! so we called Laurent and Ludovic again. Ludovic rushed over and by simply turning off the boiler the noise stopped. we were relieved but at the same time appalled by the lack of care from the emergency services! if this would've been New York, there would've been 4 fire trucks in front of my house is a matter of minutes!!! in the morning the specialist came and fixed the boiler. the hot water was fixed but the heat never worked. we sat around w blankets. it was pretty freezing. but we didn't want to bother the boys anymore. they helped me find an apartment for an extra 3 nights because i unexpectadly got a job and st gervais was not available. that apartment was not as nice as st gervais but at least it had heat and internet so i didn't complain. it was a little overpriced though, compared to st gervais. i asked if they could give me a discount for the inconvenience of the hot water issue and agreed to give me 1 night free. all by all i am very happy because st gervais is amazing. i never stayed in the marais before and never at an apartment and both were amazing new experiences!! i will be in touch again soon to call on your services all the best, natalie Hello Rihanna, We did have a great time in Paris. Their was minimal noise from the school which was a bit anoying. The WIFI would not work but a cable was supplied. There was to be a telephone, but it was no wear to be found. | Rhianna and Superior Paris Vacations was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. The entire time I was thinking "This is too good to be true! This must be a scam or something." But after a month of emailing back and forth with Rhianna trying to find the perfect place to fit our budget and answering my million and one questions, I signed the contract and I crossed my fingers that it wasn't a hoax. We arrived in Paris and came up at the subway stop closest to "our apartment" at meeting time and a charming gentlemen (Ludovic) came straight up to me and asked if I was looking for that apartment. (I had the printed directions from Rhianna in my hand). He kindly helped carry our bags up to the doorway, where I was STILL nervous that the place would not be what I had imagined. When he opened the cute red door I breathed the hugest sigh of relief and said "It DOES exist!!!" Everything was exactly as described on the website and as photographed. Down to the ! orchid on the table! But we had to laugh when we saw that the "bookshelves" were actually pieces of wallpaper. We were the first people to stay there so we figured it was an honest mistake since they look so real in the pic. He gave us the tour and brief instructions on how to operate everything (though we never figured out the washer/dryer combo so we had wet clothes lying around everywhere haha) ... gave us the keys and was on his way. We unpacked our suitcases as though we lived there. It was soooo much better than the "hotel living" which we do so much of the year. We were in town on business with our bosses who insisted on staying at an overpriced tiny-room hotel nearby. They were so jealous! Every night after work they insisted we came back to "our apartment" and have inexpensive wine and appetizers that we bought downstairs at a cute grocer. Then we'd walk somewhere cute nearby for dinner. In the morning we made coffee (which was already in the pantry) and l! istened to music on our iPod on the doc / stereo system as we got read y for the day. It was absolutely wonderful! They said next time we all went we would BOTH get apartments. It made our stay in Paris a truly priceless experience. We will most definitely be calling you again Rhianna! | We enjoyed the apartment. It was comfortable and roomy for just the two of us. The decor was modern and clean. The bed was great, or maybe we were just too tired from all our sightseeing to notice if it wasn't. The location was adequate for getting to all major sights if you are willing to take the metro. We only had two complaints. The first...the downstairs neighbors on two nights decided to have a party, play music very loudly and smoke until about 3 or 4 in the morning. They might as well have been smoking in the same room as us. It was bad! Second...the clothes washer/dryer is a nightmare to figure out!!! Other than that we had a pleasant stay. | The best things about this apartment were the location (1/2 block from the Metro and Centre Pompidou), the outdoor space (with umbrella and seating), and the owner, Ludovic (very helpful). The conveniences in the neighborhood were great: cafes, restaurants, tabac, patisseries, wine stores, cheese shop, green grocers and more, all within 1 block. The apartment itself could use some freshening up. It was tiny, which was not a problem as long as you expect that. The bathroom was super tiny, almost to the point of uncomfortable, and it was hard to get hot water in the shower. I was disappointed to be completely unable to use the phone, even for local calls. Even though the apartment was on the upper floors, the street noise was pretty loud at night. Overall, it was a reasonable place to stay in a fab location. This apartment is in a wonderful location to get to most of the Paris landmarks you want to visit. It is beautifully apponited with fine art. The living room is spacious and overlooks a busy square. The apartment is mostly quiet at night with the occassional scooter driving by; but that is Paris! The only negative comments were that the drain in the shower doesn't drain well and the pots and pans in the kitchen were extremely dirty. This was pointed out to the Landlord upon our eixt from the apartment. Overall a great apartment and I would recommend it to anyone. Our stay in Paris was a pleasant one. The apartment had what we needed. Fridge and wifi were a big BONUS. Location was great and Metro entrance was so close to the front door of our apartment I could a golf ball in the Metro with a sand wedge.
